Rob Rokicki is a New York based writer and composer/lyricist whose songs “live at that perfect intersection of musical theatre and radio rock” (Adam Gwon).  Rob wrote the music, lyrics and co-orchestrated the Broadway show The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (book by Joe Tracz). The show was nominated for Lortel, Off-Broadway Alliance, and three Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Musical, before touring across North America.  The original cast recording had the highest pre-sale in Broadway Records history and the show is licensed globally.

Co-arranger & orchestrations for Punk Rock Girl (book by Joe Iconis), and writing for the streaming musical Breathe, (book by Timothy McDonald & New York Times Best Selling novelist Jodi Picoult).

Rob has been commissioned to write pieces for The Kennedy Center, Bay Area Children’s Theater, along with scoring the films The Real Gemma Jordan (screenplay by Anna K. Jacobs), Dividends, and Gingerbread House. Other credits include: Strange Tails (winner of several awards with Michael Ruby); Eleven Eleven (The Pitch & LiveRead at USC); The Listing (horror/comedy radio play); Love NY (American Harmony Award winner).

Rob has worked professionally as an actor, in national tours, regionally and in NYC including Carnegie Hall. As a music director, he has worked both regionally and Off-Broadway.  Rob has been a proud educator at the collegiate level for over 10 years and is the Finale music guru for the nationally recognized children’s theatre publishing giant, iTheatrics.

A two-time Larson Award finalist, alum of the Tony Award winning BMI writing workshop, and a proud University of Michigan graduate, Rob believes in accessibility for creators and audiences.
